Things to Do in Jacksonport
Jacksonport's whole appeal is that its best three things to do sit within a few minutes of each other: Cave Point County Park (free, no sticker), Whitefish Dunes State Park (state sticker required), and the village's own Lakeside Park (free, no drive needed). Stay in Jacksonport and you can genuinely do all three in one day without much driving at all.

A Little Bit of Coffee
A Little Bit of Coffee sits right on the Lake Michigan sand at the Square Rigger Lodge in Jacksonport, one of the very few Door County coffee shops where the beach is your view. Order a cup made with Door County Coffee & Tea Co. beans and carry it out to the deck over the water, or grab a slice of the homemade quiche, made daily with ingredients from local farms.
Bley's Bar
The home bar of the West Jacksonport Ports, with the team's bare-bones ballfield out back between a barn and a field of corn. A weathered country tavern on County Road T where locals, ballplayers, and summer people all end up on the same stools.
Cave Point County Park
One of the county's most striking shorelines, and it's free. Go at sunrise when the light hits the caves and you'll have the ledges nearly to yourself.
Door County Kayak Tours
The Cave Point tour through the limestone sea caves is the obvious draw given the shop's location a few miles from the park, and the separate Door Bluff tour (up near Ellison Bay, past pictographs and the Fleetwing shipwreck) is worth the extra drive.
Island Fever Rum Bar & Grill
A rum bar and grill on Jacksonport's quiet Lake Michigan side, with a tiki garden out back called Pelican Cove — cocktails, ice cream, and live music a few steps from the shoreline. Come Saturday for the fish boil: whitefish boiled with onions and baby red potatoes over an open flame, with the boilover at 6:45.
Lakeside Park
Wide, sandy, and rarely crowded. One of the calmest beach days on the quiet Lake Michigan side. Bring a picnic.
Square Rigger Galley
A lakefront fish boil restaurant on the quiet side of the peninsula, away from the harbor-town crowds.
Wally's Weenie Wagon
A hot dog and Chicago-style eatery in Jacksonport that started as a food truck before winning over enough regulars to open this brick-and-mortar spot: real Chicago dogs and gyros off the spit, in a county built on fish boils and cherry pie.
Whitefish Dunes State Park
The best sand beach in Door County, full stop. Pair it with Cave Point next door: one parking lot, two landscapes.
